Welcome to the Shabbat Candlesticks gallery where you can get some helpful tips on choosing the perfect candlesticks, and find a variety of items, made of various materials like gold, silver, stone, wood, glass and more.
You may have seen different variations of sabbath candles and ask yourself: “which is the right one for me”? Well, there is not one answer; you should follow your heart, and choose the candlesticks you feel provide you with a feeling of tranquility and warmth (just as the Sabbath does). Some women light a pair of candles: the first to remind us to “remember” the sabbath and the second to remind us to honor and “keep” it. Others may light a single candle. In this case there will be one candle for each member of the family, symbolizing the angel of God that accompanies each individual throughout the Sabbath.
Sabbath candlesticks can be found in many variations. They are designed from various materials and in numerous styles. When purchasing the candlesticks, I recommend choosing those of high quality. They will serve you for many years to come, maybe even be passed on to your children. They will also serve as a reflection of your home.

With so many designs and materials available, choosing the perfect Sabbath candlestick can really be confusing. Over the years I’ve seen hundreds of different candelabras inspired by different themes. Many designs are inspired by biblical motifs, like the tree of life. Others are inspired by nature: leafs, stems and flowers. I’ve even seen designs inspired by love and many others formed with the clean line of a modern look.
The most common materials are sterling silver, gold, glass, ceramic, stone, pewter and brass, but there are many others. No matter what material you choose, try to select an item of high quality so that it will last for many years and hopefully even be passed on as a family heirloom.
I gathered some of my favorite examples that represent the popular variety available. These items were all created in Israel by well known designers. They are of high quality and I believe they will bring their users joy throughout the years. If you like any of the items and want more information about them, you can find them here, or on one of the judaica stores listed above.
