Welcome to the gallery that offers the greatest variety of pictures of a Kiddush cup.
In the gallery before you, you will find exciting pictures of a kiddush cup that I gathered together. The items displayed represent the range of goblets available and include both traditional and modern styles.
The silver kiddush cup is the more popular option available. Silver is also the original material from which these cups were composed. Over the years new materials became available to craftsmen, and they began fashioning the Kiddush cups out of materials such as glass, porcelain, ceramics, pewter and any other material that can be used for drinking out of.
Many goblets are etched with images of fruit (often grapes), animals or birds. Another common design is an inscription of a name or biblical passage. There are cups designed in a clean modern line, with no visible design.
All the pictures you see below are of kiddush cups created in Israel by leading Israeli artists. If you’re curious about any one of them and want more information, all you need to do is click the image of your choice. Go ahead, take a look – I hope you find them as exquisite as I do!
This pure silver goblet was create by only two tools: a round ball anvil and a hammer. After hammering the shape of the cup, Hadaya engraves the picture of Moses splitting the sea into two, the Israelites behind him and in the background Mount Sinai. The engraving was then oxidized making it more visible.
